Zoo and lake and beach too, off we head somewhere new.
Baking cakes for birthdays and because, watching kiddos and remember what was.
Exploring new books and getting fit, raising awareness and sharpening our wit.
Enjoying the twilight (nature caused not the books) and sipping cold drinks with the ones that we love with passion so deep.
Laughing and talking and catching up, riding bikes and laughing at the pups.
Running through sprinklers and eating popsicles, feeling the grass at our feet as it tickles.
Watching silly movies and gazing at the sky, counting the wonders and eating home run pies.
Summer is here with so many things to do, camping and swimming and playing kazoo.
Yet my family is close and we thank our lucky stars, that everything we desire is right where we are.
