and the winner is.......

Hello people! It's Wednesday and you know what that means don't you? It's time to let your hair down and get silly! Oh, wait what? I'm confusing it with Friday or Saturday you say? Are you sure? Well, alright, but phooey to all that I say.

For those of you who have been out of the loop or just have more important things to do, you'll be happy to know we will have a steady job starting next week once again. Now the only question will be how many years before we are up right again. Perhaps if you'ed all like to donate to my rebuild my finances fund....check can be made to me......no? Well it was worth a try.

Today marks two whole weeks that school has been in now. So many changes this year and I'll venture to say I'm not overly pleased. With the merging of districts the daily schedule has changed this year. Not only are they getting out 5 minutes later ever day they've shortened all of the recesses as well as lunch time. It's terrible. My poor kid has never been a quick eater and now has even less time. More often than not he comes home hungry and cranky because he hasn't eaten enough to fuel his afternoon. Today also marks the first late start day. Last year they got out of school 1 hour early each week for teacher planning. This year they are doing a late start instead. I just don't understand it. They are starting an hour and a half later one day a week and, in my opinion, they are loosing some of their best learning time. How can you be productive and get things done if school is starting only an hour before the first classes start going to lunch? It's ridiculous and I'm hoping that come back to school night we can drum up enough interest to bring a school majority complaint to the school board and request change. Ultimately our kids lose in the end and that's not fair to them, us or the teachers.

Fall is swiftly approaching so be on the look-out. I will be hosting a skin care/beauty bash in October. More details to come. Be excited.......

Well before I go I have one last thing today. Please say an extra prayer every day for my girlfriend, her husband and their baby. Their little one is currently in the NICU born far, far too early. She is proving to be a little fighter already but has many miles ahead of her yet. So please keep her in your thoughts and prayers and let's get her supported in every way we can for the healthy fight home.......
