even a tiny bit can mean the world

Hello people! I sure hope everyone had a pretty fantastic weekend. For those of you who are football fans hopefully your team was the winner! We had a real nice weekend. We hit up the Railroad Museum on Saturday and then we headed up to Redding to visit Ms. Sydney and celebrate her 7th birthday. A busy weekend for us by far but one we really enjoyed.

Now on to business.........Everyone knows someone every year who is either diagnosed with something or passes on due to complications, is born too early or born with disabilities. So I recently received two emails I'd like to share a bit with you. One from a most definite best friend and the other from family. Both equally important in their causes.

First off is Martha, Rick and Alex. TEAM ALEX! As most of you all know our dear friends Rick and Martha have 4 year old Alex. Alex was born 2 whole months early! Thanks to the money and research done through the March of Dimes, Alex is today a happy and healthy child. Beyond his baby pictures no one would ever know how very early and fragile he really was. If you are reading this then most likely you all know our story too and know that every day we say a prayer of thanks to all those who helped us when Corbin was born 5 weeks early. Please check out the TEAM ALEX website and read Alex's story. Even is you can only donate a mere $5 it is a donation that will be used to save countless more babies! www.walkamerica.org/MHOCUTT

The second but no less important is the RELAY FOR LIFE walk. If you are unfamiliar with the RELAY FOR LIFE, it is in conjunciton with the American Cancer Society. Again as most of you know, Ryan's mom passed away from complications due to cancer 9 years ago this year. His cousin is currently a student at U.C. DAVIS and is participating in this event. She is dedicating her walk to Cindy. My grandfather passed away this pass October after a battle with cancer as well. Every bit we can do to raise awareness and research is one more potential life saved. I encourage you again to donate, even if only $5! Go here https://www.kintera.org/faf/donorReg/donorPledge.asp?ievent=192314&supid=162060268 and donate today!

Who can't afford to donate? Think about it.....if you just have 2 less Lattes this week or 1 less lunch out, you could be making a huge difference in someones life and that of their families. Really, didn't you just spend a ton on snacks for the "Big Game"? Go check out the sites, read the stories and then please donate to these fantastic causes!
