Meet Toady, my son's new "pet". As my husband was cleaning out the side yard today he found this very large toad. Garrison named him Toady and asked Daddy to make him a home. So he found a home in the front flower bed, at least temporarily. Now we find frogs on occaision but the little guys who hide under the roses and in the iris. This guy is pretty large and the picture was taken by Garrison. The funniest part of the whole deal was that there was apparently another large toad. However, he wasn't nearly as lucky as Toady and was discovered quite squished in the gutter by the end of the driveway. My oh so sensitive son took one look and says to his daddy "Look Daddy, it WAS Toady's Dad!" He tells me that he's dead because he got squished by a really fast car while he was trying to cross the street. Unbelievable. He get's overly upset when his train derails yet a flattened toad just has bad luck because he wasn't nearly fast enough. Cracks me up. I've said so before but the mind of a four year old is an amazing thing to witness! Anyhow, I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend and I should have another update later this week after I visit the doctor again.
