Welcome to another wet and rainy day here in sunny CA! I had lots of hopes and plans of things to explore and do this winter break with the boys but the weather seems to have other ideas. Having passes for the zoo and they having a new anteater we were looking forward to checking it out. We were also hoping to get back out to do more exploring of Folsom Lake. No matter though, they've been keeping themselves quite entertained. I get to have another lovely cup of coffee (mmmm, Coffee-Mate Creme Brulee creamer anyone?), read a book and marvel at the comraderie as they explore and discover all the new and wonderful things they've recently recieved.
I know it's only the 28th of December but my Christmas decor is officially put away and it feels nice to have my house back again. Draw backs to a small home is anything extra, be it furniture, people, or decorations and you feel a bit squished and closed in. For the moment the only thing cluttering up my house (besides kids) is all the clean laundry waiting to be put away today. Even the garage is back to normal! Now we can enjoy our week and ring in the new year without having to rush around and put everything away in the midst of trying to get back into our normal routine when school starts again.
I hope everyone is enjoying their extended family time as much as we are and aren't too frazzled from the break. When you need a breather, come over and visit, coffee is always on!
