I can hardly believe that a full month has almost passed since my last post. It's been an eventful month for sure. All three boys have been sick since Easter and we are still dealing with the leftover residues. Thankfully everyone is just about fully mended and my counter is looking less like a pharmacy and more like a counter. (Well sort of....beyond all of our regular daily meds!) This is the first week without a single doctor appointment too! We are supposed to go back next Monday for one more recheck and with all things good we should be done. I'm looking forward to having a (hopefully) doctor free May beyond a regular check up.
Corbin reached the 6 month mark this past Monday and did so with great gusto! He is really thriving without any real problems. He is 16lbs and at the top of his growth chart for his age. He is going to catch up to the other two boys in no time. He is eating baby food and cereal now and just starting to learn to drink from a sippy cup. He rolls over in both directions and is sitting up with a little assistance. He has been trying to use his playmat or blanket for leverage to pull himself forward when he is on his tummy. He really wants to crawl but hasn't quite figured out the particulars required just yet. We should be putting in a visit with his cardiologist sometime in June for a recheck on the hole in the upper chamber wall of his heart. When we originally saw the doctor he was confidant that the hole would close itself up over the 6 month period and we are looking forward to his findings. Corbin's pediatrician gave us the official go ahead to take him on a plane this summer. Although we are a bit apprehensive to fly with all the kids at least we shouldn't have to worry about his health on top of it all.
I still have a few more recipes to try out and post and am hoping to be able to get back into that very soon. I am still looking for more recipes to try so if you have a good one please send it along. I'll take yours, your sister's, Grandma's, the church lady's, Bunko special or whatever you've got. Doesn't have to be fancy or it can be multi phased. I'm ready. Thanks again to everyone who has been contributing and keep them coming!
