tastes like chicken....really!

I have the best mom ever! No really, my mom is way better than your mom. We live in the Sacramento Valley where the weather is usually hot or foggy. Not a lot in between. As it is the end of August it is definately hot right now. Also being that I am currently pregnant and on a bedrest type schedule she really does a lot to take care of me and my family. Case in point......a couple of weeks ago I mentioned to mom that I really wanted some chicken and dumplings. Yes I know, it's the middle of summer and yes I know it's damn hot. But being the awesome mom that she is, she came home from work today and fixed us chicken and dumplings. It was so EXTREMELY FANTASTIC!!!! I ate soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much. And not only did it taste great she made an awesome dessert. A caramel apple crisp. It was like a whole meal straight out of fall and was heaven. Plus I have leftovers for tomorrow too. Maybe even my hubby's piece of dessert if he isn't careful! So thank you , thank you, thank you mom for the most wonderful dinner ever! You definately take care of me anytime I need it!
