I love BOB!
Many who know me, know I like a very large variety of music. I tend to lean towards heavy and classic rock but also just adore Rat Pack music, ie: Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. Until recently I have listened to talk radio more than music just for lack of enthusiasm on what has been on. We recently had two stations revamp with predominately 80's music. Not a bad choice considering I've always been a big hair/glam band girl. Which in itself is a bit strange considering I wasn't even fully into my teens in the late 80's. And granted I went through an entire NKOTB phase but we are all allowed indisrections! (I do still love to hear them on the radio though!) Which brings me back to why I love BOB. Who is BOB you may ask. Well it isn't really a who but a what. BOB FM 92.1. Our newest station to hit the airwaves. They are a DJ free station that plays music from the 60's to 90's. It is great! I can be listening to Simon and Garfunkle, Queen, NKTOB, De-Lite, Lynard Skynard, and more all in one set of music. Not only that they are on the web! Bonus! www.bob921.com I have a musically talented husband who not only plays a variety of musical instruments but has a steel trap brain for music. He can hear a song one time and remember the entire melody and the majority of the lyrics. Kind of idiot savantish in a sense. So I feel that it is only right to expose our children to a wide variety of music. (You can only listen to The Wiggles, Raffi and Sharon, Lois and Brahm so many times before you lose our mind!) However, if you are having to change the radio station every 7 minutes or so just to get a variety it isn't really worth listening. Of course we could shuffle CD's but that would require owning enough CD's to get a decent variety, which I don't have. I also know I could burn CD's with a wide mixture of music or download MP3's but who do you thing I am? A teenager with too much time on my hands? Hardly! I am a very busy mom of two kids and watch two more and they are all under the age of 3. So as you can imagine I have little time to think quietly let alone download anything. Most nights, once the kids are asleep I do a quick pick up around the house and am off to bed myself. I stray....................my point is that I LOVE BOB! It is so cool to have a radio station that just plays whatever! Thanks Dad for turning me on to a wonderful station! My only complaint is that I get great reception in the house on a rainy day but I get crap on a sunny day. What gives?! Whatever.................I must get the word out. Listen to BOB people. He is king!
